  • Plumbum – Diarrhoea with black stool, pulling at Naval. Cutting pain radiating to whole body with violence spasms exhorting cries.
  • Veratrum – Pinching colic. Violent thirst. Big evacuations. Great abundance of cold sweat)
• Liver affection, craving icy drinks and haemorrhage will make you think of Phosphorous which is its complementary remedy.

• Related to Mercury- the tenesmus in Mercury ceases after stool while in leptandra the colic around navel is reduced after stool but persists
• In nitric acid the haemorrhage is bright red in typhoid while in leptandra it is Tarry)
